Our setting
Kirala Garden is surrounded by nature and the guests can often observe monkeys, peacocks, squirrels, fireflies, etc. It’s a perfect place to relax away from the beach crowds without actually being far away from the beach
(2.5 km from the beach or just
a 5 min tuk-tuk drive).
Mission
The main purpose for the creation of the hostel and guest house is to financially support Savi Jaya Foundation. The aim of the foundation is to help unprivileged children and students to get access to education and to reduce social inequalities in the Weligama area.
This place is amazing! It's just 20 min walking or 5 min by tuktuk to the beach. Just feels like heaven with the monkeys jumping around the hostel. Janaka the host is such a lovely man and it really feels quite local staying there, just out of the busy tourist spots! Highly recommended!

The family and staff running the hostel are really great and the place has something special with the huge garden next to the river, a rooftop and lots of space. Nice location a bit out of the busy town Center of Weligama. Also nice to know, that by staying there, one supports a local help organization.
